Exports of dairy products up 30% in 9 months yr/yr

TEHRAN- Exports of dairy products from Iran increased 30 percent during the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-December 21, 2017) compared to the same period of time in the past year, according to an agriculture official.

Deputy Agriculture Minister Hassan Rokni said the country has exported over 750,000 tons of dairy products during the mentioned time span, Tasnim news agency reported on Sunday.

The official said that the neighboring countries as well as Europe were the export destinations of Iran’s dairy products in the nine-month period.

Dairy products exports stood at 850,000 tons in the past Iranian calendar year (which ended on March 20, 2017), while the figure was 600,000 tons in its preceding year, Rokni has previously announced.

The official said that Russia jointed the importers of Iran’s dairy products in the past year.
